Policy Update on Abnormal Deposit Handling
July 21, 2025
Dear Cobo users,
To enhance fund security and processing efficiency, Cobo has updated its handling policy for user-initiated deposit errors (e.g., missing/wrong Memo/Tag, transfers to Cobo’s withdrawal addresses). The new policy takes effect on July 25, 2025, with the following changes:
Key Updates:
- Claim Period Shortened: The application window is now 15 calendar days (reduced from 30). Claims beyond this period will not be accepted.
- Cooling-Off Period Introduced: A tiered waiting period applies, based on asset value, to improve safety and validation.
Applicable Scenarios:
- Deposits sent to Cobo’s pooled addresses
- Incorrect or missing Memo/Tag
- Returned transactions from recipient platforms
Action required for institutional clients to remind users on your website to:
- Fill in the correct Memo/Tag (e.g. XRP, XLM, ATOM)
- Verify address and chain
- Follow the deposit rules
- Provide return proof in time if refunded
Transactions before or on July 25, 2025 remain under the 30-day claim period.
Thank you for your support.
