Portal Python SDK Minimum Supported Version Upgrade Notice
December 09, 2025
Dear Cobo Users,
To enhance system security and maintain platform stability, the minimum supported version of the Portal Python SDK will be upgraded to Python 3.9, effective December 17, 2025. Please review your environment and upgrade your Python runtime in advance to ensure uninterrupted service.
Impact
-If your current Python version is below 3.9 (e.g., 3.7 or 3.8), you must upgrade Python before installing or updating to the latest WaaS 2 Python SDK.
-You may continue to use the legacy SDK prior to upgrading, but outdated Python versions may expose your environment to known security vulnerabilities, including issues with urllib3.
Recommended Actions
-Check your Python version and ensure it meets the minimum requirement of Python 3.9.
-Upgrade Python if needed and verify that your environment remains compatible.
-Install or upgrade the SDK to the latest WaaS 2.0 Python SDK after completing the Python upgrade, ensuring security and stable operations.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us.
