Cobo Wallet App (Consumer Wallet) Shutdown Notice
October 17, 2026
Dear Cobo Wallet users,
Since the Cobo Wallet App (consumer wallet) closed to new registrations in 2021, Cobo has focused on its institutional wallet business. If you are an institution or enterprise and hope to continue to access Cobo’s services, book a demo to get started with Cobo's institutional wallet: cobo.com/book-demo
Here is the shutdown schedule for the Cobo Wallet App (Consumer Wallet) :
1. Cobo Wallet App Wind-down Timeline
From December 1, 2026, 00:00:00 (UTC+8), the App will cease service. Please make sure all assets have been withdrawn before this time.
⚠ Action required, please complete as soon as possible:
Update your receiving addresses: If you have set a Cobo Wallet address as a receiving address on any exchange, mining pool or other platform, please replace or remove it, to avoid assets being sent there by mistake.
2. Handling of Assets Not Withdrawn by the Deadline
2.1 Fee Structure
If any assets remain in your account after the App ceases service, Cobo will charge a monthly account management fee. The fee will be calculated at 2% of the remaining assets in your account, subject to a minimum monthly fee equivalent to USD 100. If you fail to withdraw your assets before the App ceases service, you will be deemed to have agreed to this fee arrangement.
2.2 How the Fee Is Charged
Fee Collection Time: The fee for the preceding calendar month will be charged on the 1st of each month at 00:00 (UTC+8). The first fee will be charged on January 1, 2027, for the account management fee for December 2026.
Deduction in tokens: The fee will be calculated based on the remaining quantity of each token in the account at the time of collection. The fee will be deducted directly from your account in the respective tokens at a rate of 2%, with no currency conversion.
Minimum fee: If the total fee calculated at 2% for the month is less than the equivalent of USD 100, a fee equivalent to USD 100 will be charged instead. The fee will be deducted from each token in proportion to its share of the total value of the assets in the account. USD values will be calculated based on CoinMarketCap prices at the time of collection.
Insufficient balance: If the total value of your remaining assets is less than the equivalent of USD 100, all remaining assets will be deducted in a single transaction.
Fees will continue to be charged until all remaining assets have been withdrawn or fully deducted.
2.3 Examples
Account balance of 1 BTC and 10 ETH: 0.02 BTC and 0.2 ETH are deducted for the month (total value above 100 USD).
Account balance of 1,000 USDT only: 2% would be 20 USDT, which is below the minimum fee, so 100 USDT is deducted for the month.
Account balance of 60 USDT only: The balance is below the minimum fee, so all 60 USDT is deducted for the month.
3. Security Reminder
Beware of impersonation and phishing. Please withdraw your assets only through the official App, and download or update it only from the following links:
Cobo will never send you direct messages, ask for your password, seed phrase or private key, or ask you to install any other app to “migrate” your assets. Please only trust our official website (www.cobo.com) and official email address ([email protected]), and beware of scams by anyone impersonating customer support.
Thank you for your trust and support.
