To enhance asset security, Cobo is introducing stricter monitoring of Main Group key share backups in your MPC Wallets.

To avoid withdrawal restrictions, please complete your backup by March 3, 2025.

• Impact: Users who have not completed the required backups by this date will be unable to withdraw assets.

Error Message & Next Steps

If you see the error “Operation restricted. Please back up the key shares for the Main Group first” when attempting a withdrawal, please follow the instructions below to complete your backup.

Backup Instructions

If your Main Group uses a Cobo Guard node

1. Upgrade your Cobo Guard to the latest version 2.0.3.

2. Back up your key shares immediately after upgrading.

If your Main Group uses a server node

1. Make sure your key shares are backed up.

2. Manually update the node status to “Backed Up” on the Main Group page.

Users who fail to complete the backup before March 3, 2025, will face withdrawal restrictions. To avoid any disruptions, we recommend backing up your key shares as soon as possible.
